Mission:Dignity® recipients in Tennessee will receive an extra blessing thanks to the efforts of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

For the 3rd year in a row, recipients will receive this “13th Check” due to state convention efforts. The benefit is made available to every Mission:Dignity recipient living in the Volunteer State.

“Tennessee Baptists continue to catch the vision of helping these retired servants of the cross and their families in their retirement years,” Mission:Dignity Director Aaron Meraz said. “No retired Southern Baptist minister or his widow should have to choose between needed medicine or groceries. Thanks to Mission:Dignity, we’re able to come alongside these men and women and ensure a much-earned dignity.”

Last year, 20 state conventions and/or foundations provided extra benefits like the 13th check to Mission:Dignity recipients.

“Because of the generosity of Tennessee Baptists, a 13th Mission Dignity check has been made possible for faithful heroes,” said Randy C. Davis, president and executive director of the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board.

GuideStone® President Hance Dilbeck offered his thanks on behalf of Mission:Dignity’s recipients.

“One of the joys at GuideStone is hearing from our Mission:Dignity recipients about the joy and peace their monthly stipend brings them,” Dilbeck said. “We could not do this without the sacrificial support of our state conventions, churches, Sunday school classes and individuals. We are thankful for these 13th check arrangements to help provide an additional blessing to men and women who have served the Lord well.”
