Mission:Dignity® recipients in Michigan received an extra blessing to start the year thanks to the Baptist State Convention of Michigan
For the second year in a row, recipients received this “13th Check” due to state convention efforts.
“These gifts from our friends in Michigan ensure that our recipients in their state will have an extra blessing to look forward to,” said Mission:Dignity director Aaron Meraz. “It is our privilege to serve these retired servants in their later years and give thanks for the efforts of those who join in this vision.”
Last year, 20 state conventions and/or foundations provided extra benefits like the 13th check to Mission:Dignity recipients.
“One of the greatest joys and privileges that I have experienced as the executive director of the Baptist State Convention Of Michigan has been the ability to give to those who will benefit most and greatly deserve a 13th check to help with their basic needs,” said Tim Patterson, executive director of the Michigan convention. “Many who received this labored faithfully, and with very little acknowledgment for the Kingdom of God, and now are in need. We who are able to give to these precious people know that we stand on their shoulders and the foundations that they have laid.”
GuideStone® President Hance Dilbeck offered his thanks on behalf of Mission:Dignity’s recipients.
“What a tremendous blessing it is for God’s people to rally behind a common mission like ensuring those who so faithfully served our convention of churches are able to have their basic needs met in their declining years,” Dilbeck said. “I am thankful and want to thank our Michigan brothers and sisters for their sacrifice on behalf of those we are privileged to serve.”
