Mission:Dignity® recipients in North Carolina received an extra blessing to start the year thanks to North Carolina Baptists.

For the second year in a row, recipients received this “13th Check” due to state convention efforts.

“These gifts from our friends in North Carolina ensure that our recipients in their state will have an extra blessing to look forward to,” said Mission:Dignity director Aaron Meraz. “It is our privilege to serve these retired servants in their later years and give thanks for the efforts of those who join in this vision.”

Last year, 20 state conventions and/or foundations provided extra benefits like the 13th check to Mission:Dignity recipients.

“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of North Carolina Baptists, which has enabled us to provide additional funds to these faithful servants of the Lord,” said North Carolina Baptists executive director Todd Unzicker. “God has used these leaders to bless so many lives across the state. I’m thankful we have the opportunity to partner with GuideStone through ministries like Mission:Dignity to show our gratitude to these servants in return.”

GuideStone® President Hance Dilbeck offered his thanks on behalf of Mission:Dignity’s recipients.

“Each of these dear soldiers of the cross we come alongside through Mission:Dignity has an incredible story of God’s faithfulness,” Dilbeck said. “They can testify that the generosity of God’s people has provided for them time and again. I’m thankful for the efforts of North Carolina Baptists to support Mission:Dignity recipients there with this extra blessing.”
